01
Missing, curling, or cracked shingles

Shingles curling at the edges, cracking, or missing entirely are exposing your roof deck to moisture and often signal a roof nearing end of life.

02
Granules in your gutters

Asphalt shingles lose their granule coating as they age. Dark gritty material in your gutters means your shingles are deteriorating.

03
Water stains on ceilings or walls

Indoor water stains often point to a roof leak. Even a small leak can cause significant structural damage and mold growth over time.

04
Roof is 15–20+ years old

Most asphalt shingle roofs have a functional lifespan of 15–25 years. If yours is approaching this range, an inspection will tell you how much life is left.

05
Sagging roof deck

A sagging or uneven roofline indicates potential structural damage. This needs immediate attention before it becomes a safety issue.

06
After a hail or windstorm

Storm damage isn't always visible from the ground. An inspection after any significant hail event can catch damage early and may qualify for insurance coverage.

Residential Roofing FAQs

Honest answers to the questions we hear most from Cleveland-area homeowners.

See All FAQs
How do I know if I need a repair or full replacement?+
If your roof is under 15 years old with isolated damage, a targeted repair is often the right call. If it's 15–20+ years old, has widespread shingle damage, multiple leaks, or significant storm damage, a full replacement is usually more cost-effective long term. We'll give you our honest recommendation during your free inspection — we never push a replacement when a repair will do the job.
How long does a roof replacement take?+
Most residential roof replacements are fully completed in a single day. Larger homes or complex rooflines may take two days. We give you a firm timeline upfront and don't leave jobs half-done overnight.
Can I install over my existing roof?+
In most cases we recommend a full tear-off. It lets us inspect and replace the roof deck if needed, ensures proper underlayment and flashing installation, and results in a longer-lasting roof. Many manufacturers also require a tear-off to honor their warranty.
Will my insurance cover a new roof?+
Storm damage, hail, and high winds are typically covered by homeowner's insurance. General wear and aging usually is not. We inspect your roof, document any damage, and work with your adjuster to maximize your claim. Many customers end up paying only their deductible for a full replacement.
What materials do you recommend for Cleveland?+
For most Cleveland homeowners we recommend GAF architectural (dimensional) asphalt shingles — excellent balance of durability, curb appeal, and warranty coverage. They hold up well against Northeast Ohio's freeze-thaw cycles, ice dams, and hail. For maximum longevity, metal roofing is worth considering.
Do you offer financing?+
Yes — we offer flexible financing options with manageable monthly payments. Ask us about current financing options during your free inspection.
